How the app, this website and our support handle information.
Current service and app
This notice covers our website, support and the current development build. Sales are not open. The purchase section below describes the service planned for release; we will update this notice if the release changes how information is handled.
Audio stays local.
The current app reads and converts audio on your Mac. It has no built-in automatic upload of your audio, file names or conversion history, and no built-in analytics or automatic crash-report sender. The Website and Support links open your browser or email app when you choose them.
The app saves your conversion settings and chosen output folder on your Mac. It also keeps a local history with output paths, conversion settings, result details and some diagnostic messages. An output path can include the original file name. This history is not sent to us automatically.
About local history and temporary files
The history file is ~/Library/Application Support/1200 CONVERTER/history.jsonl. Clear removes finished items from the visible list; it does not erase this history or your audio. To remove the history, quit the app, open this folder using Finder’s Go → Go to Folder, and move only history.jsonl to the Trash. A new history file is created after later conversions. Saved settings are separate.
Temporary job and decoded-audio files are used during conversion and cleaned up in the normal completion or cancellation flow. An unexpected interruption can leave temporary files behind. Folders synced by iCloud or another service follow that service’s settings.
License activation.
The release checks your license through Lemon Squeezy. You enter your purchase email and license key in the app. The app compares that email locally with the purchase information returned by Lemon Squeezy. Requests send the license key and, where needed, a randomly generated activation name or the activation identifier assigned to this Mac. The service also receives connection information such as your IP address. Audio, file names, conversion history, your Mac’s name and its hardware serial number are not included in these requests.
Your purchase email, key and activation record are stored in macOS Keychain on this Mac, without iCloud Keychain synchronization. A completed deactivation removes this app’s saved license record. After activation, offline use has no time limit. The app can verify license validity when connected. The release system is in final testing; earlier development builds may not include activation.
Visiting this website.
Our site has no audio-upload form, advertising pixel or analytics script added by us. The language switch does not use a tracking cookie. Hosting and delivery services may process connection information such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and request time to deliver and protect the site.
This site is hosted with OpenAI Sites. The hosting service’s own operation is covered by its privacy policy. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
Orders and support.
When sales open, checkout is planned through Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. It and its payment providers will handle payment and billing details. We may receive customer and order information, such as name, email address, order number, product, amount, tax, country and refund status, to deliver the purchase, verify entitlement, provide support and meet accounting obligations. We do not ask you to send card numbers or passwords by email. See Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate an issue, arrange a refund or improve the product using the issue you report. Our project mailboxes are hosted by Lolipop. We do not automatically add customers or people who contact support to a marketing list, and we do not sell their information.
Audio files are not required for ordinary support or a refund request. If a particular investigation needs a sample, we will explain why and agree with you on what to send and when it will be deleted. Share only material you are entitled to share, and review logs or screenshots for private information before sending.
We use service providers for hosting, email and checkout, and share information only as needed for those purposes, with your consent, or where law requires or permits it. Their processing may take place outside Japan. The information, destination and safeguards will be explained where notice or consent is required.
Retention, access and requests.
We keep support correspondence for as long as needed to resolve and follow up on the request. Order and accounting records may need to be retained to meet legal requirements or resolve disputes. We review information we hold and remove or anonymize it when it is no longer needed. Local app history remains under your control on your Mac.
We limit the information used for a request to what is necessary and restrict handling to people who need it for the stated purpose. Contact us for details about our handling and safeguards.
You can ask about information we hold about you, its use, access, correction, deletion or restriction by emailing support@jazcrafts.com. Describe the request and provide your purchasing email or order number if relevant. We may ask for proportionate verification before disclosing or changing information. There is no fee for making a request. We respond in accordance with applicable law and explain any legal reason that prevents us from fulfilling it. Do not send identity documents unless we specifically arrange a suitable method with you.
